The hiking area is very versatile.

Altogether over 500 km of marked hiking tracks follow across juicy meadows, through forests, from hut to hut, past alps, across heights and to the summits of the Montafoner mountain ranges Verwall, Raetikon and Silvretta.

Numerous cablecars and lifts shorten and ease the ways to the sunny heights.

Mountain and tour guides provide for security with guided alpintours and climbing courses.

Cycling in the Montafon

In the year 2000 a cycle track, which crosses the entire valley, was finished. Over this cycle track one has connection to the Vorarlberger cycle-track-net - this means cycling from the Piz Buin in the Silvretta right to the Bodensee.

Mountainbike

The Montafon Region has been a secret amongst serious mountain bikers for years. But now the network of biking trails has been completely mapped and put together into a handy guidebook. The 30 different routes, totalling 325 km, range from easy cycle paths to the steepest trails, with something to suit every level of biker. More than 600 signposts clearly mark each route and guarantee total biking pleasure.

The extensively glassed indoor pool with sunbeds allows inside and outside to blend into one. A swimming tunnel connects the generously sized indoor family pool seamlessly to the outdoor adventure pool (water temperature 28°). The family pool has indoor and outdoor areas with a waterfall, reverse current rapids, cascade, lazy river, deluge showers and a children’s area. The outdoor swimming and adventure pool is equipped with underwater seating, 3 starting blocks, a large climbing net and a four lane giant slide.

The parent and child area has a shallow pool with water slide and cave. A shaded seating area under the pergola, a sand box with sun shield and children’s toys make for a perfect day out.

Canyoning in Montafon means total immersion in unknown and unspoilt nature, far from the usual hiking trails. A totally unique outdoor experience amidst rugged cliffs, waterfalls and rivers.

Please bring trainers, a towel and bathing costume - equipment will be supplied. The guides are qualified mountaineering and canyoning experts.

Kneipp facility

Along the bank of the ILL (lokal river) you find a wild-romantic way, which leads into the village Gortipohl. There you meet directly the "Kneippanlage", which is embedded into the beautiful scenery of the ILL.

A spring with clear water and a constant temperature of 4° feeds the facility.
