The skiing area Silvretta Nova with over 100 km of skiing runways is one of the best developed and faszinating winter sports area in Austria.Three lifts take you right into the extensive skiing area. Serveral lifts and varried skiing slopes invite professionals and beginners just alike.

Families find a "Child-Country" for the smallest ones and a Funpark for the teenies. Skiparadies Silvretta Nova offers everything a skier can desire, demanding slopes, challanging deep snow slopes and gentle hills belong to the variety of the Silvretta Nova.

Cross country skiing

Cross country ski over the mountains of the Montafon. The high-altitude courses in the ski area offer a fantastic natural experience in the heart of the breathtaking mountain world.

Even the ascent is an adventure: you take the Vermuntbahn gondola cable-car and then the tunnel bus through an old 1920s mining tunnel to Bielerhöhe summit, and Silvretta’s vast snow and glacier ski arena at the foot of mighty Piz Buin. Here at 2000 m altitude, right by and on deeply frozen Lake Silvretta, is the 21 km long cross-country track.

The track in detail:
Seeloipe: 6 km easy track on the lake (skating also possible)
Höhenloipe: 5 km moderate track
Dammloipe: 2 km easy to moderate track
Loipe-Galtür: 8 km easy to moderate track only accessible in safe snow conditions
Wiesbadener Hütte: 8 km - no track, but the winter footpath is accessible with cross-country skis

Sledging

The new 5.5 km illuminated
"Rodelbahn Garfrescha / St. Gallenkirch"
provides for fun and adventure in sunshine, in snowfall, in full moon and in starlit night skies.

Guaranteed snow right into the valley provided by snowmachines during the whole season.

Each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday,
18.00 (6 pm) to 21.30 (9:30 pm) the Garfreschabahn is running for the adventurous.

Winter walks

The trend searching for peace, recovery, relaxation and fun for the whole family was the cause to transform walking and forestry ways into a fantastic Winter-Walking-Eldorado.

On over 40 km of well maintained and sign-posted routes the guest finds a rich selection of varied walks and easy high mountain walks.

At the same time one has a wonderful view into the valley of the "White Gold", into the snow covered glacier world of the Silvretta, in the mountaines world of the Verwalls or the Raetikon.

Ski touring

Impressing ski tours of all degrees and difficulty with
a trained ski guide is the highlight of a winter vacation.

Particularly recommendable - because no route equipment necessarily - the Madrisarundtour (transnational route into Switzerland to Klosters) and the Skisafari to Galtür in Tirol.
