Silvretta Bielerhöhe

Even the ascent is an adventure: you take the Vermuntbahn gondola cable-car and then the tunnel bus through an old 1920s mining tunnel to Bielerhöhe summit, and Silvretta’s vast snow and glacier ski arena at the foot of mighty Piz Buin. Here at 2000 m altitude, right by and on deeply frozen Lake Silvretta, is the 21 km long cross-country track.
